Actress Madam Elizabeth Evoeme, who played Ovularia in the sitcom "The New Masquerade" on television in the 1980s, has passed away.
Ovularia was born on December 1, 1942, and her death was verified by a family member who said she passed away surrounded by her loved ones.
The actress passed away in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, according to the statement.
The statement said, "The public, all those who loved her and her work in 'The new Masquerade,' would like to be informed of the passing of the legendary actress Elizabeth Lizzy 'Ovularia' Evoeme.'" It was signed by friends, fans, colleagues, and the family.
Elizabeth "Ovularia" Evoeme was adored by both her family and you, her followers, and will be sincerely missed.

The circumstances of her death, though, remained a secret.
Justina Ngozi Evoeme, Ovularia's London-based daughter, expressed her astonishment and pain at her mother's passing, saying, "I need to get my head around what has happened."
