Information has surfaced regarding how hundreds of state citizens and youth were parked on Friday and dropped in Osun State by the Nigeria Police Force and the Lagos State Task Force.
One of the young people who claimed that Nigerian officers had taken him away from his place of employment on Friday afternoon described his story to SaharaReporters.
He claimed that before transporting the youth to a jungle in Ilesha town, Osun State, the law enforcement officers parked youth from the Ajah, TBS, and Island regions of the state and assembled them inside an incomplete building at the Makoko police station.
According to him, the youth were transported to Osun State in five opulent buses escorted by police officers.
"We were taken into custody at approximately 10 p.m. yesterday. We were told to leave and even had threats of shooting with a gun," he stated after they dropped him off at Ilesha, Osun State, inside a bus.
Police officers escorted us from Makoko police station to Elemoro and then from Elemoro to Osun after arresting us. There were lots of us.
It involves roughly five opulent buses. There were lots of us. They claimed that the reason we were detained was so that we could return to our states.
People from Island, TBS, Agarawu, Ibeju Lekki, and Ajah were parked.
Within the cell, we were housed in one incomplete building. Officers from the police pursued us. It was them who even threw us into the forest.
He said, "Some of the cops had task force jackets on, while one was dressed in a police uniform.
As of press time, the Nigeria Police Force had not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
