Following claims that a woman had been attacked, armed Metropolitan Police officers were called to a property in Havering, east London, on Monday afternoon.
Witnesses said that police had blocked off the quiet road leading to the residence in Cornwall Close, Hornchurch, and that paramedics, including the air ambulance, had also been called.
Sadly, the 50-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene. Expert policemen are providing support for her family. The woman owned two registered XL Bullies, which the police have confirmed they took from the home.
