According to what was learned, in January 2023, the 19-year-old male chose to have a strange conversation with his sister. He made a girlfriend request to his sister. Surprisingly, the 14-year-old acknowledged having the same feelings for her sibling.
After deciding they clicked, the two began dating. They made the decision to hide their relationship since they were aware of the problems it would cause if it were discovered.
The 19-year-old man persuaded his sister to have sex with him during their relationship. She consented, and the two performed the act in the yard and at home on other times.
But later on, the girl became pregnant, and their grandmother discovered this.
She said her brother was to blame when questioned. The 19-year-old man was arrested for incest after the grandmother reported the case to the police.
When he appeared before a Mutawatawa court, the magistrate gave him a jail term of 14 months. He will serve an effective 12-month sentence after two months were struck off.
