Gunmen Dressed In Black Attires Gun Down A Babcock University Professor For Refusing To Be Kidnapped In Ajadeh Event Centre , Ogun State.


In Iperu town, Ogun State, gunmen have slain Dr. Olowojobi Yinka, a law professor at Babcock University, and kidnapped two others. Around 9.20 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, the Ajadeh Event Centre on Sagamu Road in the Iperu district was attacked by eight shooters dressed in black clothes. 

It was learned that the lecturer was shot and killed because he refused the gunmen's attempts to carry him away.

One of the people taken is a vehicle seller by the name of Dare, according to SP Omolola Odutola, a spokeswoman for the State Police Command who verified the incident in a statement.

 She continued by saying that the Iperu Division's report shows that the kidnapping and murder incident happened on April 19, 2024, at around 9:20 p.m.

The statement stated, "There have been reports of gunshots being heard at the Ajadeh Event Centre on Sagamu Road in the Iperu area of Ogun State.

Eight men, all armed with black firearms, were seen by onlookers entering the peaceful lounge. 

They began firing randomly, shooting one person—later identified as Olowojobi Yinka, a lecturer at Babcock University—in the chest for refusing to leave with the thugs when they asked him to, and one more person—a car stand manager known only as Dare "m"—who has not yet been identified. 

One Awada Ishaya "m" of Plateau State, who was hired two weeks ago when the event center as a security man, was taken into custody by the police for additional examination after a suspicious coincidence.
