President Tinubu has granted the Director-General of the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) a five-year extension.

President Bola Tinubu has granted approval for the reappointment of Dr. Vincent Isegbe as the Director-General of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS). This extension will enable Dr. Isegbe to continue serving in the same capacity for another five-year term.

In a statement by Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, the President expressed his expectations that Dr. Isegbe would continue to build on the recent achievements of NAQS. Notably, the agency was recognized for its efficiency and transparency, ranking among the top three federal government agencies in the index by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC).

The decision to extend Dr. Isegbe’s tenure is seen as a vote of confidence in his leadership and an acknowledgment of the positive contributions made by NAQS under his guidance. Observers anticipate that Dr. Isegbe’s continued leadership will further strengthen NAQS’s position in fostering a conducive business environment for agricultural activities and trade in Nigeria.
