According to information obtained, on Friday night, March 15, 2024, gunmen abducted the Sarkin Ruruwai from his palace after firing intermittently to frighten the locals.
The body of the traditional ruler was discovered disposed of near the village early on Sunday, March 17.
It was also learned that the kidnappers did not get in touch with his relatives to demand ransom.
On Sunday, he was buried at Gumau town, Toro LGA, in accordance with indigenous customs.
