Binance Responds to Escape of Detained Employee: Nadeem Anjarwalla.

Following the escape of Nadeem Anjarwalla, one of Binance's detained employees in Nigeria, the cryptocurrency platform has issued a response.

According to the bendelnews, Anjarwalla, Binance's Africa regional manager, fled custody on March 22, 2024, from an Abuja guest house, where he and his colleague, Tigran Gambaryan, were held on suspicion of tax evasion.

Binance's spokesperson confirmed Anjarwalla's escape in a statement to the bendelnews on Monday, emphasizing that the safety of their employee remains a top priority.

The firm assured that they are actively cooperating with Nigerian authorities to swiftly address the situation.

The two Binance executives were detained by the office of the National Security Adviser since February 2024, following the platform's restriction from operating in Nigerian cyberspace starting February 21, 2024.

Consequently, Binance ceased its services on Naira from March 8.
