Originally deposited there after the incident, the teenager's body, initially naked, was discovered wearing a white robe and underwear.
The shocking discovery caused a commotion, drawing a crowd to the hospital. Louis Maries Mbella, the head mortician, recounted being alerted by a security guard about the unusual presence of the deceased outside.
Despite attempts to communicate with the teen, no response was elicited. Subsequent examination confirmed his identity but revealed he wasn't in the embalmed state where he had been left.
Witnesses claimed the deceased murmured the words, "Anne you promised me," adding to the mystery. While the deceased's mother questioned the plausibility of her son's movement and speech after a week in the mortuary, the Chief Mortician noted similar occurrences in the past.
Following traditional rites, the clothing found on the teenager was incinerated, and his body was returned to the mortuary.
