During the meeting, President Tinubu honored all members with the Member of the Order of Niger (MON) title.
Additionally, he bestowed upon the team and the Super Eagles a flat in Nigeria and a plot of land in the Federal Capital Territory as tokens of appreciation for their service.
Expressing gratitude for their resilience and the upliftment they brought to the nation through their matches, President Tinubu commended the Super Eagles for their sportsmanship and can-do attitude despite facing setbacks. He expressed pride in their achievements.
The Super Eagles, who clinched second place at the recently concluded AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast, arrived in Nigeria earlier on February 13 via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
