The Nasarawa State Police Command has made significant strides in combating crime with the recent arrest of two suspected armed robbers operating in the Ekye Development Area of Doma Local Government. 

Abdullahi Basso and Saidu Isah were apprehended following a complaint by vigilant residents.

 The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, disclosed that the operation, conducted on Thursday night, was in response to ongoing armed robberies reported weekly along the Doma-Rukubi Road. 

The suspects, masquerading in military attire, were intercepted at Kwanar Kare, a notorious spot for such criminal activities. 

Recovered from the scene were three hundred thousand naira in cash, a knife, and other incriminating items. 

The duo admitted to a previous robbery where they relieved a victim, Mallam Barka, of five hundred thousand naira. 

This swift action underscores the commitment of the Nasarawa State Police Command to ensure the safety and security of residents in the region.
