Night of Terror: Attacks on Mosque and Homes Shake Katsina State, Leaving Death and Abductions in Their Wake.

 

Terror gripped Katsina State as armed assailants struck on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, targeting a mosque, homes, and leaving death and abductions in their wake. Read full article 

The most tragic incident unfolded during Ishai prayer in Yargoje village, Kankara Local Government Area. 

Gunmen stormed the mosque, firing at worshippers, claiming three lives and injuring four others, who are now hospitalized in Kankara. Additionally, a man and two women were abducted from the village.

In the early hours of Thursday, the assailants attacked the home of Sani Maikifi, a vigilante member in Ungwar Tudun Boka, Kankara. 

Though Maikifi escaped, his family was not as fortunate, with his wife and son being taken.

In another incident, armed men invaded Dangani village in Musawa LGA late Wednesday, firing shots and abducting an unspecified number of residents, reportedly targeting a wealthy visitor from the south.

As of now, the police have not released any statement regarding the attacks.
