Femi Adesina stated that he believes that President Buhari has left Nigeria in a better state than it was when he took over.

Femi Adesina, who previously served as the Special Adviser Media to former President Muhammadu Buhari, has stated that his former boss left Nigeria in a much better state than he met it. Adesina, a former president of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, made this comment during an interview with ThisDay newspaper. When asked if he thought his principal left Nigeria better than he met it, Adesina replied, “Far better than he met it.”

He then went on to explain that when assessing a leader, it’s important to consider the goals they set out to achieve. In 2015, Buhari promised to focus on three key areas: security, economy, and anti-corruption. Adesina believes that Buhari delivered on these promises and made significant progress in tackling insecurity in the country. By the time Buhari left office, Nigeria was a much safer place than it was when he first took office.
