Governor Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, announced Dennis Idahosa as the winner, while returning officer Stanley Ugboaja declared Monday Okpebholo as the victor.
Additionally, Ojo Babatunde, claiming to speak for returning officers from all local governments, declared Anamero Dekeri as the winner.
Amidst the confusion, the party’s leadership convened at the APC national secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday.
After the meeting, National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka announced that the election was inconclusive and scheduled to resume on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
