President Tinubu Unveils Bold Energy Strategy: Accelerating Siemens Project, Refinery Revitalization, and Economic Recovery in 2024.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has unveiled plans for a robust energy strategy during his New Year broadcast. His administration is prioritizing the acceleration of the Siemens Energy Power Project to ensure a dependable electricity supply to homes and businesses.

In 2024, the government aims to revitalize local petroleum production, with the Port Harcourt Refinery and Dangote Refinery set to be operational.

Highlighting groundwork laid in the last seven months of 2023 for economic recovery, Tinubu is committed to expediting service delivery across various sectors.

A recent agreement during COP28 with the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, underscores efforts to hasten the Siemens Energy project, a crucial component of the Presidential Power Initiative initiated in 2018.

Ongoing power installation projects across the nation are geared towards fortifying transmission lines and optimizing the integrity of the national grid.

Tinubu emphasizes the pivotal role of a consistent electricity supply in meaningful economic transformation.

The year 2024 marks a significant step forward in the quest to restart local petroleum refining, with the Port Harcourt Refinery and Dangote Refinery expected to be fully operational.
