Osun JUSUN Leadership Change: National Body Initiates Reform for Judicial Transformation.

The Gbenga Eludire-led executives were dissolved, and a three-man caretaker committee, headed by Rasaq Lawal, was appointed.

 The caretaker committee's mission is to address the prolonged crisis in the Osun State judiciary within a three-month tenure. The decision follows the extension of Eludire's tenure, which was later reconsidered by the national secretariat.

 The recent developments aim to resolve issues that led to the November 2023 strike, prompted by allegations against the Osun State Chief Judge.

 The strike persisted despite the National Judicial Council's rejection of the government's request to suspend the Chief Judge. 

The national JUSUN distanced itself from the Osun chapter's strike, emphasizing that it shouldn't be exploited for political purposes.

 Eludire remained adamant about the strike for improved welfare, but the recent dissolution brings about a change in leadership dynamics.
