In 2023, Natasha Beresford, 26, defeated eighteen other women who competed "bare-faced" in the inaugural makeup-free Miss London pageant in the organization's 95-year history.
She was scheduled to compete in the Miss England final in Wolverhampton in May, and according to the organizers, she had a "great chance" of winning.
However, she forfeited her opportunity to win the title because the championship match coincides with her best friend's birthday.
She will now walk down the aisle as a bridesmaid rather than vying for the title.
The dental nurse Natasha, who is originally from Sheffield but currently resides in London, stated: "I regret to inform you that I will not be representing London at the Miss England national final in May."
The same weekend, my closest friend is getting married in the north of England, and I have already committed to being a bridesmaid.
"I want to express my gratitude to everyone for their support throughout the competition, and I wish the best of luck to all of the Miss England finalists."
Last year, Natasha dazzled the Miss England judges with her unforced beauty while sporting a white lace gown by Shikoba Bride, a UK-based company that makes wedding gowns using ethical and sustainable practices.
