Since then, a lot of attention has been paid to the incident on Twitter, which was first reported by user @AkiMarlin.
The woman allegedly lied to her pals about being engaged to marry, according to the tweet. She sold them Asoebi for 50,000 Naira and a hand fan for the wedding, respectively.
But as her companions discovered later, she had staged the entire ceremony. Her conspicuous absence from the location she had selected for the bridal shower was due to her boarding a plane to canada.
