Wizkid, the renowned Nigerian musician, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, recently opened up about the profound grief he is experiencing following the 

passing of his mother, Dolapo Balogun. The tragic event occurred in August 2023 while Wizkid was on tour for his album, 'More Love Less Ego' in Europe.

Expressing his emotions on social media, particularly on his Instagram page, Wizkid conveyed the deep sense of emptiness he has been grappling with since his mother's departure. 

He shared that life has taken on a sense of meaninglessness without her presence.

In a poignant post, Wizkid reached out to his fans, urging them to seek solace and guidance from a higher power, invoking the importance of working with God during such challenging times. 

He said; “Made idk days after I lost my mum. Life has been meaningless! But we dey. Sometimes you have to let everything go. Work with God.
