Three traditional rulers from Oyo State's Oriire Local Government Area died in a road accident involving a commercial truck and a Benz Continue Reading..
The accident occurred at Aje Iye, and two monarchs passed away immediately, while the third succumbed to injuries at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital.
Six passengers were involved in the crash, with the three survivors receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The affected monarchs were identified as Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula, and Alayetoro of Ayetoro in Oriire Local Government.
Additionally, on the same day, a truck caught fire on the Ogbomoso-Oyo Expressway, injuring nine out of thirteen occupants with varying degrees of burns.
The injured individuals are receiving treatment, and no fatalities were reported in the second incident.
