In a candid interview on Channels Television’s Rubbin’ Minds on Dec. 17, Ike disclosed his long-standing depression stemming from the events surrounding the marriage's end.

The actor narrated leaving for the US with minimal belongings, unaware of his wife's alleged plot against him.

Shockingly, while en route to the US, Suzanne reportedly orchestrated the closure of Ike's secondary school and seized his properties, leaving him with an empty home.

"I was gullible until I discovered she was behind the whole thing," Ike stated, detailing the loss of 80% of his properties and the distress of witnessing others build on his lands.

Emeka Ike vehemently denied accusations of assault by his ex-wife, emphasizing his despair at losing everything he had acquired as Emeka Ike.

He expressed concern for modern relationships, pointing out that many women, like his ex-wife, claim not to be "the marriage type." Ike urged men to recognize and appreciate women willing to make a marriage work.

Accusing his ex-wife of blackmail and manipulation, Ike revealed that he sponsored her higher education without reciprocated love.

Despite pleas from Ike and his family, Suzanne pursued the divorce, leaving them bewildered by her actions in court.

Ike even suggested external influences, claiming Emma may have been blackmailed by individuals he referred to as "gunmen.

The 14-year marriage between Emeka Ike and Suzanne Emma was officially dissolved in 2017 by a Lagos Island Customary Court, citing incessant battery. The former couple shares four children.
