 Calls for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to be formally detached from their honorary titles have been ongoing since their departure as working royals.

 However, an insider familiar with the king's perspective emphasizes that he is not inclined towards punitive measures and would not seek to humiliate his son and daughter-in-law. 

Although Buckingham Palace is exploring various options in response to the recent controversies, sources firmly state that reducing their status as Duke and Duchess of Sussex is not being considered.
