In a groundbreaking move, the Board overseeing Immigration, Civil Defence, Fire, and Correctional Services has officially approved the promotion of 32,361 personnel, elevating the workforce across these vital sectors.

Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, shared the comprehensive promotion details during a significant announcement through NSCDC Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Audi, in the capital city of Abuja.

Key highlights of the promotions include 4,498 individuals from the Nigerian Correctional Service, 4,598 Immigration officers, and 1,680 fire service personnel who have all secured advancements in their respective roles.

Remarkably, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) witnessed a remarkable achievement, with 21,385 successful candidates out of the 25,951 who participated in the examinations, solidifying its leading position in the promotions.

Minister Tunji-Ojo underscored the historical significance of these promotions, marking an unprecedented event for the board. 

He encouraged the beneficiaries to wholeheartedly embrace the increased responsibilities that come with their elevated positions, emphasizing the crucial role they play in serving the nation.
