Mercy said in a TVC interview that her choice to convert to Islam was motivated by her love for her spouse, according to Kemi Filani. She said she loved their friendship and that love had come calling for her.
Mercy shared that no woman would have gone through what she had, and that she felt instinctively that Kazim was the appropriate person for her.
She continued by saying that there is a lot of love for her older wife.
