Popular Nigerian musician Teniola Apata, better known online as Teni, caused strong emotions when she revealed in a recent post that she was given a possibly fatal throat infection diagnosis in July.
Teni, the vocalist of "Uyo Meyor," disclosed that she was identified as having the virus while composing her follow-up album, Tears of the Sun.
This is happening just a few months after she told her fans about her attempts to lose weight.
She disclosed that following several instances of transient vocal loss, doctors recommended a significant surgical procedure to prevent irreversible voice loss.
On the other hand, Teni was admitted to the hospital in September as a result of persistent fatigue. Teni, who is receiving therapy rather than surgery, published a video chronicling her experience.
The singer gave her fans a heartfelt assurance at the end of the video that her new album, "Tears Of The Sun," would be released on this month's 17th. She continued by saying that "Malaika," one of her hits, is her song of thanksgiving to God.
