"Labour Party Chairman Raises Alarm Over Insecurity Ahead of November 11 Governorship Election in Kogi and Imo States.

Julius Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has expressed significant concerns in anticipation of the November 11 governorship election.

He highlighted that the prevailing insecurity in Kogi and Imo states is a primary cause for apprehension leading up to the gubernatorial polls.

During an appearance on Channels Television's People's Townhall on Election Security, the LP chairman emphasized, "My party and candidates are deeply troubled by the security situation, particularly in Imo and Kogi.

Throughout our campaign efforts, our offices have faced repeated attacks from unidentified gunmen.

In some instances, security agencies have been observed accompanying individuals involved in these activities that targeted our offices.

"All of these incidents raise serious questions about the safety of lives and property, particularly in Imo and Kogi. Our primary concern as a political party lies with these two states.

We have observed less violence in Bayelsa, and it may not be a significant hotspot of concern for us," he added.
