The APC candidate, Uzodimma, received 540,308 votes, according to INEC's state collation and returning officer, Abayomi Fasina.

Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) nominee for governor, received 71,503 votes overall, placing him in second place.

Senator Athan Achonu, the Labour Party's nominee for governor, received 64,081 votes overall, placing him in third place.
