The Joint National Executive Council (NEC) of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) resolved on Wednesday night to stop the ongoing indefinite nationwide workers' strike.
The labor unions claim that Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), intervened and caused the suspension.
In response to the alleged police brutality against NLC President Joe Ajaero on November 1, both Labour Centers issued orders to their members and connected groups to launch an indefinite nationwide strike on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, according to LEADERSHIP.
