Israel-Hamas Temporary Truce Begins: Ceasefire Amidst Continued Artillery, IDF Defensive Measures, and Anticipation of Hostage Release.

A temporary truce between Israel and Hamas has started, initiating a four-day ceasefire at 7 am local time.

 Despite the ceasefire, there were reports of continued artillery fire in Gaza for 18 minutes.

 The Israel Defense Force claimed to have completed defensive preparations during the pause, having destroyed underground tunnels near Shifa Hospital earlier. 

The IDF warned that the war is not over and urged Gaza residents to stay in the southern part of the strip.

 The release of 13 Hamas hostages at the Rafah crossing into Egypt was anticipated, but officials acknowledged potential complications.
