Abayomi Fasina, the state collation and returning officer for INEC, said that Uzodimma, the APC candidate, received 540,308.

The People's Democratic Party's (PDP) nominee for governor, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, received 71,503 votes overall, placing him in second place.

Senator Athan Achonu, the Labour Party's (LP) candidate for governor, received 64 out of 081 votes, placing him in third place.
