On November 12, 2023, Kwaji was captured by the Adamawa State Police Command as a result of a tip.
In confession, Buguwa, who lives in Song LGA's Aljannaru village and committed the crime, admitted to defiling the child while under the influence of alcohol.
He said;
After drinking a gin known as voltage on that fateful day, I lay down, and the little girl came and started playing on my body. So I raped her because I could not resist the urge for sex” Buguwa said.
The victim's older sister saw him red-handed, setting off an alarm that led to his capture and subsequent police handover. The suspect's wife is currently pregnant, and they are married.
Afolabi Babatola, the Commissioner of Police, has directed the CID to look into the situation and make sure that the suspects are prosecuted, according to SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the command spokesperson, who also verified the arrest.
