The Ajayi Crowther University history and international studies graduate claimed in a video that was shared on social media on Monday that he decided to give up his degrees because he could not find work and that the country's current situation rendered them useless.
"Getting a certificate in this country is like a waste of time," the man remarked.
Ilenre continued by saying that even for foreign travel, the certifications are useless.
He said that since discovering that none of the jobs he had completed during the preceding 13 years had required his certificates, he had not been able to sleep for the previous week.
He continued by saying that considering the current state of affairs in the country, people should learn handwork. He urged parents to allow their children to pursue their interest in crafts and trades.
"I haven't used these certificates to get a job till today; I finished school in 2010 and completed my NYSC in 2010/2011," Ilenre stated.
