The settlement was announced a day after Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, filed the suit.
In a statement, she expressed her decision to resolve the matter amicably and thanked her family, fans, and lawyers for their support.
Combs also issued a statement, wishing Cassie and her family the best. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
The federal lawsuit, filed in New York City, alleges that Combs raped and physically abused Cassie throughout their relationship, introducing her to a lifestyle of excessive alcohol and substance abuse.
Cassie, signed by Combs to Bad Boy Records in 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37, emphasized breaking her silence after years and spoke on behalf of women facing violence and abuse in relationships.
The lawsuit includes Bad Boy Records, Bad Boy Entertainment, Epic Records, and Combs Enterprises as defendants.
Cassie highlighted the approaching expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act as motivation to share her story.
Sean Combs' lawyer, Ben Brafman, strongly denies the allegations made by Cassie, calling them offensive and outrageous.
Brafman claims that Cassie had persistently demanded $30 million from Combs over six months under the threat of writing a damaging book, an offer unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.
Despite withdrawing the initial threat, Cassie proceeded to file a lawsuit containing baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Combs's reputation and seek financial gain.
In response, Cassie's lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, states that Combs offered eight figures to silence her and prevent the lawsuit, which she rejected.
Diddy and Cassie, who dated for 10 years, ended their relationship in 2018, with Cassie later marrying her personal trainer, Alex Fine.
