The Appeal Court's judgment sacking Governor Yusuf raised protests, but a typographical error led to confusion. 

Ohanaeze urged against participating in any protests, expressing concern over the potential escalation into violence and political strife.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo called on Igbo residents in Kano to take preventive measures, such as closing businesses, in case of law and order breakdown. 

The statement by Ohanaeze emphasized the need for security agents to protect Igbos, urging political leaders to restrain their followers. 

Political abstinence was stressed to safeguard investments, with a plea for residents to prioritize safety, exercise restraint, and avoid activities that could escalate tensions. 

Ohanaeze urged neutrality to demonstrate commitment to peace, safety, and prosperity, emphasizing the importance of protecting Igbo interests in Kano.
