Police have detained a diverse group of suspects after the unfortunate death of Mohbad, including Nurse Feyisayo, who gave the late singer an injection after being called in to treat his injuries.
The nurse's mother appeared in viral videos to defend her daughter's innocence and dispel the rumor that she was a fake nurse.
She stated that her daughter is a true nurse professional who completed her nursing education in an exclusive Ogun hospital and served a one-year apprenticeship under her boss. She emphasized that in her area of work, her daughter had never tripped over a toe or made a mistake that could have killed her.
The late singer's mother maintained that Feyisayo had never met or interacted with him before. She continued by claiming that Mohbad's friend, "Spending," had called her daughter on that fateful day to arrange for medical attention for Mohbad's hand injury.
She said that to oversee the injection she administered to the late musician, Mohbad's wife, Omowunmi's younger brother, personal assistant, and friend "Spending" were all there.
The elderly widow argued that since her daughter was an expert in her area and had never made a mistake before, the injection her daughter had administered could not have resulted in Mohbad's demise.
Then, Mrs. Ogendegbe passionately begged Nigerians to assist her, expressing her fury that her daughter had been listed as the primary suspect in a murder case even though she is totally innocent.
She claimed she went with her daughter to the police station to help with the inquiry into Mohbad's passing and was given the assurance that her daughter would be freed after an autopsy. But she did say that the autopsy was taking a lot longer than she had anticipated.
