In a statement titled, “Re: How we killed club owner in hotel – Female Student,” which was made available to PUNCH Online by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Halimat Garba, on Thursday, the registrar said the suspects are not students of the polytechnic.

The statement partly read, “The Management wishes to disclaim this discrediting and malicious news about the institution, stating that the suspects being paraded in Abuja by the force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, are students of Kwara State Polytechnic.

“The Polytechnic management wishes to state categorically that its students are good ambassadors of the Polytechnic, the state, and Nigeria at large and will never indulge in such acts

The institution made it clear that the suspects' claim that they attended the polytechnic is untrue, unsupported, and the result of their imagination, and that it was made with the intention of damaging the institution's image for its unbroken peace.

The registrar further recommended that all Polytechnic stakeholders and press representatives confirm any information pertaining to the organization before publicizing it.

Recall that during the Wednesday interview at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, Adama asserted that the victim had been requesting a sexual relationship with her for some time. She declined, however, because she had previously worked for him and that he had never met her financial needs after she left. Oreoluwa agreed with Adama's description of what happened.

She added that she had graduated from Kwara Polytechnic's ND program before to the incident.
