According to The Daily Trust, Governor Radda promised to sacrifice his life to stop banditry in the state.

In a BBC Hausa interview, the governor declared that security is of utmost importance and added that this is why a law forming a volunteer force with weapons was passed.

The Community Watch Corps was formally established by the governor on Tuesday, October 10, and it will collaborate with the state's established security organizations.

The governor declared, "We have established, educated, and furnished the volunteers, giving them automobiles, motorcycles, even armored automobiles."

When it came to allowances, Governor Radda suggested that the volunteers be compensated in accordance with the government's adoption of the minimum wage system.

The general public ought to be aware that these volunteers are doing this work for free out of a sense of duty to protect their families and communities, he said.
