Humanitarian Crisis Unfolds: Gaza Strip Evacuation, Palestinians given until 2pm to leave or die

Today, Israel issued a 2:00 PM deadline for Palestinians to evacuate the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in families packed into vehicles and donkey carts, while tragically, children as young as two lost their lives in an airstrike on a convoy trying to flee.Read full story

The IDF had given 1.1 million inhabitants only 24 hours—which expired at 3 AM BST—to flee to the south of the region. Then it added that today, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. local time (8 a.m. and 2 p.m. BST), Gazans could leave the area safely via two key roadways.

According to Mahmoud Shalabi, director of Medical Aid for Palestinians, "no place was safe in Gaza" and he wished to "die with dignity," Hamas has pushed residents to disregard the evacuation order.

According to the Palestine Health Authority, an airstrike yesterday struck a caravan of vehicles, killing 70 people. The BBC found at least 12 bodies in the video, including women and kids, some of whom looked to be between the ages of two and five.

Airstrikes on Gaza have resulted in at least 2,215 fatalities and 8,714 injuries so far.

More than 2 million people in Gaza are at risk as a result of water shortages, the UN agency in charge of aid operations warned today. Senior official Philippe Lazzarini issued the warning, saying: "It has now become a matter of life and death." It is necessary.

Netanyahu, Israel's prime leader, said that the country would "never forget" last Saturday's terrorist strikes by Hamas.

Tanks are massing on the border in preparation for a significant ground offensive, and elite commandos and tanks have already started conducting 'localised' incursions into Gaza to target Hamas terrorists and equipment.

Today, the Israeli military said that two senior Hamas commanders had been killed. Over the past day, fighter jets attacked an operating centre, killing Murad Abu Murad, the terror group's aerial operations chief.

Ali Qadi, who commanded the terrorist groups that killed people during attacks on Israeli settlements last Saturday, was later declared dead. Military intelligence found him and then killed him in a drone attack.

The IDF reported today that a drone had killed three militants who attempted to enter Israel through Lebanon. Issam Abdallah, a journalist for Reuters, was killed in Lebanon as a result of Israeli bombardment, and Israeli officials expressed their regret today

At least 1,300 Israelis were murdered in Hamas' terrorist attacks on Saturday, which marked the start of the conflict.

As Israel continues its ruthless attack on the Gaza Strip, horrifying images of babies and families being massacred continue to surface. According to the UN, 1,300 buildings on the territory were destroyed.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant stated that his country's armed forces would "effect permanent change" in the region and "take Hamas out of Gaza and out of the Earth."

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) declared in a statement that it will "operate significantly" inside Gaza City "in the coming days," warning Palestinians that they would only be able to go back after another decision allowing it was made.

The order to evacuate was ignored, according to Hamas. Families in Gaza were forced to choose between leaving and remaining because there was no safe haven to retreat to.

Whole city blocks have been destroyed by Israeli attacks, and Gaza has been cut off from food, water, and medical supplies while experiencing a virtual total power outage.

Don't think about food, electricity, or fuel. The only thing that matters right now is whether or not you'll survive, according to Nebal Farsakh, a spokeswoman for the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza City.
