Blinken's initially planned two-day trip has been unexpectedly prolonged. Despite his departure from Egypt with the announcement of the Rafah crossing opening to foreign nationals, the crossing remains closed following Israeli bombings on Monday

Recall that Blinken engaged in lengthy discussions with Israel's war cabinet, including conversations with the president, prime minister, and defense minister. Despite these efforts, he has been unable to facilitate the delivery of aid to Gaza.
