Sango/Ota, in the State's Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, is where the incident took place on Saturday.

Ramon Rasaq, the victim, lost his sight after a traditional healer later extracted seven pellets from his eye.

Omolola Odutola, a police spokesperson in Ogun, referred to the incident as "attempted murder."

In Sango, Odutola claimed that Abiodun Fatai had informed the police that his younger brother had gotten into a physical altercation with security because he had "opened the gate himself because the two security men, Michael Adelayo and Ganiyu Saka, were not on guard at their security post at the time he got to the gate.

Rasaq's movement into the street is believed to have infuriated the security personnel.

A fight ensued as a result, and Ramon Rasaq was shot in the eyes by one of the security personnel, Ganiyu Saka, during the ensuing melee, according to a statement released by Odutola on Tuesday.

Ramon was moved to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) thanks to the medical records that CSP Saleh Dahiru, the Divisional Police Officer of Sango Ota, had provided.

"At the hospital, he got prompt medical care to get his situation under control. Ramon regrettably lost his right eye, but the on-call physician informed that he is currently responding favourably to therapy, according to the statement.

Abiodun Alamutu, the police commissioner, has ordered the suspects to be transferred to State CID for additional investigation and potential prosecution.
