We'll stop Jonathan from trying to name Tinubu's minister-Bayelsa APC elders

 

Stakeholders operating under the aegis of the Bayelsa APC Elders Council charged Jonathan with trying to manufacture a minister after actively and openly endorsing Atiku Abubakar during the previous general election on behalf of his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Jonathan should not be seeking to reap what he did not seed, according to Chief Michael Adomokeme, Chairman of the state's APC Elders Council, who was speaking in the state capital of Yenagoa.

He claimed that the former president was acting unfairly and unjustly, comparing his "desperation" to that of someone who was trying to get paid by company A after working for company B.

Adomekeme expressed hope that President Tinubu, who is known for rewarding effort, would prevent a situation in which "monkey work, baboon chop" would take place.

People shouldn't attempt to reap where they have never sown, he advised. Some of us have been here from the beginning of our party, when simply being a member was frowned upon.

You all recall that the APC in Bayelsa was referred to by the same individuals as either the Islamic Party or the Hausa Party. Fast-forward to the elections in 2023. President Jonathan did all in his power to ensure that we lost, but as God would have it, we won. What authority does he have to designate the minister from Bayelsa State straight away?

During his six years as president, he personally nominated a large number of Ministers. Why is he now so focused on the single that the Bayelsa party wants to obtain? Is the goal to obstruct the APC's obvious path to win in the upcoming election?

Even worse, it is extremely disrespectful for a former president to come grovelling for a single ministry position. It demeans and demeans the office of the Federal Republic of Nigeria's President.

"He has been hailed as a statesman and democracy's champion. That's great, let him keep doing that rather than working as a political lobbyist at night and a statesman during the day.

When reached, former President Goodluck Jonathan's media advisor, Mr. Wealth Dickson, claimed the claim was false and without merit because the former president had no such plan.
