Tupac’s $1m ring becomes the most valuable hip-hop artefact ever sold



 The late American musician and actor Tupac Amaru Shakur wore a crown-shaped gold ring, which was auctioned off for $1 million on Tuesday in New Continue reading 

The late artist wore the ring to the MTV Video Music Awards in September 1996, which was his final public appearance.

Yaasmyn Fula, Tupac's godmother, revealed that the Pac & Dada 1996 ring was made for him in New York City following his release from prison and signing with Death Row Records when she gave it to the auction house.

The New York Post reported that the auction house claimed the ring, which is comprised of gold, rubies, and diamond crowns, became the most expensive hip-hop artifact ever auctioned.

On September 13, 1996, Tupac was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas at the age of 25 by an unidentified assailant.
