The organisation reaffirmed their commitment to seeing that Ekpa gets prosecuted for his atrocities in the Southeast.
The sociocultural group was responding to the Ekpa-called Biafra referendum convention.
The faction's Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, deemed Ekpa's demand for a referendum congress to be problematic.
"Ekpa's self-proclaimed role as the Prime Minister of the Biafra Government in Exile and his declaration of a Biafra referendum are deeply concerning," according to a statement by Isiguzoro.
Such acts could start civil unrest and create anarchy in Southeast Nigeria.
Along with other political figures from the Southeast, Ohanaeze Ndigbo is steadfast in their pursuit of Simon Ekpa's capture and prosecution.
"The ongoing search for Ekpa is a preventive measure designed to stop the impending disruptions to the Sit-at-Home programme."
