President Bola Tinubu's delay in announcing his new cabinet members has been justified by Abdullahi Adamu, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
On Monday in Abuja, at a gathering of APC chairmen from around the nation, Adamu stated that Tinubu had held lengthy consultations before making his selections.
"The president has hardly begun. And he is currently consulting widely before announcing his picks for ministers.
"Minister nominations will be made first. After being submitted by Mr. President, they will go through vetting until they are declared.
Furthermore, the President will officially name and swear in his cabinet members.
Only after completing that will he reveal each of them to the nation, allowing us to determine which minister would lead which ministry and how many there will be overall, according to Adamau.
