According to Bendelnews, after Emefiele entered a not guilty plea to the two counts related to the alleged illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, the court had already granted him bail.
Emefiele will remain behind bars until he complies with the bail requirements, according to Justice Nicholas Oweibo, who approved the bail.
However, a physical altercation broke out between members of the Nigerian Correctional Services and the Secret Police about who would remove Emefiele from the court.
The suspended apex bank governor was successfully removed from court just a few minutes ago by DSS agents.
