In Zamfara State, bandits kidnapped a nursing mother, her 14-year-old son, and four young ladies.
According to TVC News, a woman and boy were taken from their home in Saminaka, a neighbourhood along the Gusau-Sokoto route, in the early hours of Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
The incident happened two days after her newborn child's naming ceremony. The child is now in the father's custody and is a lecturer at the Federal College of Technology, FCET Gusau.
According to reports, the armed robbers knocked down the wall to gain entry and demanded the husband. When they were unable to locate him, they abducted his wife and their oldest boy and took them to an unidentified location.
In a related occurrence, thieves knocked down a house's wall in the Mada village neighbourhood of the state's Gusau Local Government Area on Sunday, July 23, 2023, and kidnapped the four young women.
