Darlington Okoye, better known by his stage name Speed Darlington, a Nigerian hip-hop singer working in the US, has pledged never to wed a woman older than 30.

He declared that he would prefer to "die alone" than wed any woman in that age range.

In a viral online video, the contentious rapper made this claim.

Speaking in a hybrid of English and Igbo, Speed Darlington insisted that he would rather establish a family with a 30-year-old woman by donating all of his assets to charity.

He claimed that despite being financially successful, older ladies don't help their husbands pay the bills.

"I'd better pass away alone than wed a 30-year-old woman. I would rather start a family with a lady in her 30s than sell everything I own and donate the proceeds to charity, he added.
