Nicolas Jackson, a summer acquisition for Chelsea, has been challenged by manager Mauricio Pochettino to get in better physical shape.
Pochettino remarked following Thursday's 1-1 preseason tie between Chelsea and Newcastle United.
According to bendelnews, Chelsea recently acquired Jackson from Villarreal in the summer.
At his post-game press conference, Pochettino remarked, "He is showing his quality, his talent."
He has demonstrated in these games that he is excellent in front of goal and that he is quite at ease when given opportunities.
"I'm overjoyed because a striker needs to score for faith and confidence.
Even though preseason has just begun, he still needs to get in better physical shape because he joined us later than expected and did not start out with us.
