2023 WWC: Kanu, former arsenal forward react to Nigeria victory against host Australia

Nigeria's Super Falcons have been urged to keep playing in the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup competition in Australia by Arsenal icon Kanu Nwankwo.

The former Nigerian international made this comment in response to the Super Falcons' 3-2 victory over the FIFA World Cup hosts Australia on Thursday.

The Super Falcons overcame Australia at Suncorp Stadium thanks to goals from Uchenna Kanu, Osinachi Ohale, and Asisat Oshoala, according to bendelnews.

Alanna Kennedy and Emily van Egmond also scored goals for Australia against Randy Waldrum's team.

In response, Kanu praised the Super Falcons in a tweet on his Twitter account.

Thank you, our great falcons. We continue," Kanu tweeted.

The Super Falcons' last Group B matchup will now take place against the Republic of Ireland on Monday.
