In Cape Town, South Africa, a woman who hasn't been named but was allegedly a witness in a legal case was shot and killed close to Wynberg Magistrates Court.
A man followed the woman as she left the court and headed towards the main road, shooting her twice in the head before running away, according to a video uploaded on Wednesday, May 31, by CrimeInSA through Twitter.
She suffered fatal injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead by medical personnel, according to police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie, who stated that the event occurred at around 10.45 am on May 25, 2023.
According to Shamila Nicholas of the Wynberg CPF, the victim was allegedly followed after leaving court while attending a hearing in which she was a witness.
It's a case from last year, which was 2018. She was shot at and passed away there and then, " stated Nicholas.
